Candyland and the Domain of Dreams

The heroes awaken mysteriously in the Domain of Dreams where they battle gumdrop monsters and gummi bears under surreal skies, but other than experience, they awaken with nothing to show for their encounter. Pacha and Orion focused on battling foes while Zak and Zoya healed the wounded. The heroes even learned the basics of bending, with Zak going for air, Zoya for earth, Orion for fire, and Pacha and Mike for water.

The adventures in the Highlands began when the heroes responded to reports of humanoid sea monsters attacking sailors along the coast near SeaHaven. This group consisted of Pacha, Orion, and Zoya, but now joined by the mermaid siren, Lucy, as well as the young mage, Connor, and later the swimming hunk, Rory. Using reason and diplomacy, Lucy discovered that the lizard folk were not the threat suspected but rather fellow victims to the shark-like sea monsters (akin to the creatures from the Black Lagooon) which were the real problem, gaining not just intelligence but also allies. The group then found and attacked the sea devil aka Sahuaghin lair in an abandoned temple to Poseidon. In the process, the group found and saved all three of the Charmed Sisters, three powerful selkie magic wielders. These heroes learn that the sea-devils have come to the area through a rupture in the ley lines. The breach is 90' underwater, near a shoal 60 miles from the coast, far beyond Inverneith. The group also rescued and befriended a powerful mage and a young storm giant prince who joined them.

Lalotai (the Realm of Monsters) and the Feywyld

The heroes approach and learn that the breach between worlds can only be intiated by those with fey or selkie heritage. Luckily Rory and his cousin, Conner, can trigger the dimensional breach thanks to selkie ancestry. The group enters and finds themselves in Lalotai, the Realm of Monsters, the submarine analog to the Fey Wild from Polynesian lore. The heroes faces several monsters before finding and befriending a sea sphinx who offers the heroes several options to solve their problem. They choose to seek out the Raven Queen, journeying to her domain and asking her for help. The group finally arrives and the Raven Queen agrees in exchange for a minor errand in return -- simply recover a Midnight Blossom from the Nightmare Lands. Given that most of the group originally met adventuring within the Domain of Dreams and have manifested lucid dreaming skills before, this seemed more than reasonable. Unfortunately, Lucy's siren nature and Rory's fey heritage made their continuing problematic; rather than wait in Lalotai, the pair returned to the waters of the mortal realm to await their friends' return.

The heroes entered the Nightmare Lands through the dreams of Captain Cyrus Andropov of the sailing ship, Wayfarer. There, Pacha, Orion, and Zoya reunited with Mika (already drawn in through her dreams and their shared connection) as well as **JOE** and Tamra, two other dreamers caught in the nightmarescape. The bard proved quite helpful while the mystic seemed an extremely experienced Dreamland adventurer. Together the group defeated the greater ennui tormenting the captain and rupturing the nightmare...landing them bodily within the Nightmare Lands. Unfortunately, it appears that Orion woke up in the process, leaving on Pacha, Mika, Zoya, **JOE**, and Tamra to complete their mission alone. The group battles the ennui a second time, wounding its real form and driving it off. But surely, it WILL return... Now physically present in the terrifying places where our worst dreams arise and hunted by a particularly powerful and angry nightmare creator, the heroes seek the Forlorn Forest, archetype of every terrifying woodland imaginable. They make contact with their Diabolus guide, Cornelius, childhood friend of the strange, martial mystic, Tamra, and sent by the Raven Queen. Pacha nearly kills the strange purple satyr-like being, but Tamra saves the creature which then guides the group across the plains from the Ring of Dreams on the broken rocks of the Noctural Sea to the shadows of the Forest. They must cross the foreboding woodland to find the City of Nog where the Midnight Blossom aka the Rose of Midnight grows wild. But the heroes must beware the wrath of Mullonga, the Voodoo Witch who rules the Ghettos, the Lost Ruins of Nightmare.

Initially, a band of heroes must act quickly to recover humans freshly kidnapped from Furyondy and Veluna. The group penetrates deep into the Slave Pits, battling bug folk as well as orcs, and recovering the slaves who were on sale as well as three buyers.

Returning to Amberwood via Rhanee StrongArm's magical mirror, the group rests in Dragondale, using magic to recover. Ostensibly, Torr Redlocke replaces his half sister Kymmera and Rhanee calls in her nephew, Viktor, to help. Maxine, meanwhile, wishes to find other members of her group. The party returns via the mirror before dawn and frees the valuable prisoners, slays the head slaver, and learn about the slave network. Rescuing those they can, the group has three remaining goals -- find and free the recently-enslaved, disable the orc-run slavers, and chase down the remaining trafficked victims.
